J.C. Evans puts job sites on its computer network
The J.C.Evans Construction Company has placed computers at its job sites to create what is perhaps the most distinctive project management system in the construction industry.

Superintendents at some 60 J.C.Evans job sites across the country began using laptop computers to plug into the company's already extensive information network.

This new link in the network enable management to receive daily status reports directly from the job location. Reports include labor time, equipment status, weather conditions - any information that affects job cost and schedule performance. When it arrives at headquarters, the job site data is automatically stored and organized for review by J.C.Evans' division managers.
